چکیده
Abstract Copper coatings are an important group of decorative-protective materials characterised by high corrosion resistance, excellent thermal and electrical conductivity, which lately gained more significance due to their antimicrobial activity. The main aim the presented research was electrodeposit homogenous copper from non-cyanide electrolyte solution in galvanostatic conditions on steel (1.4024) nickel (Ni201) substrates, commercially used for surgical instruments. effect substrate finishes production line, shot peening with glass balls, corundum treatment brushing surface formation, investigated. substrates’ coatings’ microstructural properties were analyzed scanning transmission electron microscopy, atomic force X-ray diffraction analysis. current efficiency reduction substrates found be above 95%. layers adhere both except those deposited a brushed surface. Regardless used, they have nanocrystalline structure average crystallite size 30 nm. Moreover, coating morphology, affects nature interaction microorganisms, effectively modified appropriate finishing without changing electrodeposition conditions.

Electrodeposition of Nanostructured Magnesium Coatings
In this work, we report on the electroplating of ultrafine and uniform magnesium (Mg) films on copper (Cu) and carbon nanotube (CNT) paper substrates. By controlling the process parameters and utilizing the pulsed deposition method, the average grain size of Mg was reduced to nanodimensions. Surface pretreatment of the substrates by depositing a seed layer was found to be an efficient strategy ...
متن کاملPulsed Electrodeposition of Copper
Pulsed electrolysis of copper has been systematically investigated by electrodepositing copper from a copper sulfate bath. Pulse duty cycles of 5 to 80 percent, at frequencies from 10 to 100 Hz with current densities ranging from 2.5 to 7.5 A/dm2 were employed. The appearance of Hull Cell panels with both direct current and pulsed current was recorded. The influence of pulsed current on current...
متن کاملMicrostructure and Properties of Iron Aluminide Coatings
Corrosion-resistant coatings based on the iron aluminide intermetallic compound Fe3Al are currently being investigated for fossil energy applications. Fe3Al possesses excellent intrinsic high-temperature oxidation and sulfidation resistance, and a significant effort has been made in the development of bulk alloys based on it. While substantial progress has been made, the widespread use of these...
متن کاملEffect of interfacial reaction rate on the morphogenesis of nanostructured coatings in a simulated electrodeposition process.
Brownian dynamics simulations (BDSs) are performed to investigate the influence of interfacial electrochemical reaction rate on the evolution of coating morphology on circular fibres. The boundary condition for the fluid phase concentration, representing the balance between the rates of interfacial reaction and transport of ions by bulk diffusion, is incorporated into the BDS by using a reactio...
